About the LEED rating systems
LEED framework has different sets of requirements depending on the building type and the activity which the project aims to cover. These are called the different rating systems. These rating systems have 2 types of requirements. There are prerequisites that need to be fulfilled in any case and there are the optional credits that are associated with different credit point value. Depending on the sum of these credit points, the building can achieve different certification levels. There are represented on the below picture.
