For large companies, the mandatory 4-yearly energy audit is due again in 2023. It is a particularly fortunate timing right now, as we are in the middle of an energy crisis, and even companies that previously saw mapping energy loss as just another obligation now might regard it as an opportunity. A comprehensive energy audit results provide the corporate management with detailed information on energy saving and optimisation opportunities. An energy audit can also help lay the foundations for improvements and serve as a baseline documentation of ISO 50001 energy management system.
The energy audit is an analysis of energy consumption and building related costs, technology and transport activities, according to the standard of MSZ EN 16247-1-4. We prepare specific energy indicators and make proposals for energy saving opportunities, supported by return on investment calculations.
During an on-site visit we assess the production processes, equipments, tools, energy supply system, metering and sub-metering points.

The next deadline for completion of the mandatory 4-yearly audit is 5 December 2023, regardless of the date of submission of the first energy audit by the company.
